DeForest-Windsor-Sun Prairie

When considering DeForest, you must consider its twin Windsor and nearby cousin Sun Prairie. The three share borders, and DeForest and Windsor share a school system. DeForest has a few shops and restaurants in a small downtown, and Sunprarie has a vibrant small city downtown. Like Waunakee, the DeForest-Windsor and Sun Prairie areas have a long history as farming communities. Today, some farmland is being turned into housing developments to meet the demands of people attracted to the lifestyle of smaller communities with access to urban attractions. These communities offer homes on city lots, country-size half-acre lots, and multiple-acre homesites. Each community provides highly regarded public schools.
